TMA sponsored for Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) in Nokesville, VA. TMA presented a donation to HFOT in honor of SGT Steven Curry and his family. Our contributions will help to fund the building of a handicap-enabled home for the Currys that will make their daily lives a little easier. We attended the community Kick-off Celebration where HFOT introduced SGT Curry’s story and welcomed his family to the Nokesville, VA area. In November of 2006 in Iraq, the vehicle that Army SGT Curry was riding in with the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment (Cacti), 25th Infantry Division was struck by four explosively formed penetrators (EFPs). The unit was on an escort mission with the Air Force EOD (explosive ordnance device) team. As a result of the blast, SGT Curry suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) from the explosion and the eventual amputation of his left leg below the knee. We are pleased to support this very worthy cause and to show our direct support to the Warfighter.
